It all started on a rainy afternoon in the deep Appalachians of Virginia. A few college friends were joking about how no one uses our school's counseling services. Someone was stealthily scrolling TikTok when a thought was sparked: "mental health is so bad that all we do now is TikTok, get high, and get through the week."
A friend responded, "well good for you cuz I’m just trying to get through the day." A laugh rippled through the room—not because it was funny, but because it was so true.
And in that moment of shared, authentic truth, a decision was made: to do something, now. Three hours later, the first version of the ForYouPage white paper was drafted and the website launched. That's the moment this movement began.
